At the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Forum held yesterday, Dai Liu, chairman of the company, introduced the site of the National Convention and exhibition project in Xujing, Qingpu, and the west side of Hongqiao business core area. In the future, the project will also be included in the extended Hongqiao business district. It will be divided into two North and South plots, covering a total area of 1560 mu.

Among them, the North block is mainly exhibition, while the south is mainly exhibition and auxiliary buildings.

The northern block has a total planning area of 1 million 390 thousand square meters, including 1 million 240 thousand square meters of ground buildings and 150 thousand square meters of underground buildings.

Dai Liu said that according to the plan, the exhibition area of the National Convention and exhibition project is 500 thousand square meters, and the other 500 thousand square meters are comprehensive facilities.

"After the completion of the National Convention and exhibition project will reach the scale of the German Hannover Pavilion, Shanghai will also become the exhibition center city with the largest exhibition hall resources."

Dai Liu said that the National Convention and exhibition project will build a exhibition complex consisting of exhibition venues, comprehensive facilities and logistics support facilities, which will make the exhibition and business matching organically combined.

The landmark Pavilion will adopt a centralized layout to reduce the walking time of visitors. At present, the planning and design of the project has been completed.

The National Convention and exhibition project will adopt green low-carbon technologies such as ultra large scale solar photovoltaic power generation, and make full use of environmental protection materials as well as energy conservation and environmental protection technologies such as door and window insulation.

After the completion of the exhibition complex, the subway line 2 and the planned line 20 will be directly connected to the underground.

At the same time, because the complex is close to the pport hub of Hongqiao, the traffic protection plan of the stadium has been prepared for 400 thousand visits per day under extreme conditions.

In addition, the National Convention and exhibition project will host the "China Expo". The exhibition will be held 1 to 2 times a year. It will be mainly imported and domestic demand, and will complement each other with the Canton Fair in Guangzhou.
