2012 Vietnam'S Footwear Exports Will Face More Challenges.

According to foreign media reports, Vietnam's footwear exports encountered many problems in the new year.

Vietnam's footwear exports will endure slow growth in the stable market, especially in the European market, the association officials said.

Many footwear businessmen say that the volume of export orders signed early next year will drop to 20% compared with the same period last year.

"We signed the export contract in the first two quarters of 2012, but the volume of exports decreased by 20% compared with the previous year," said H.T., director of footwear industry in Kampuchea based in Hu Zhiming.

He believes that most of Vietnam's export market decline is mostly in the European market, which has already exacerbated the deterioration of the global economy by cutting costs.

In addition, local footwear exports are also faced with litigation and disputes from competitors such as Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.
