The design of the London Olympic podium is fresh. One of the five creators is Lu Yan, a 26 year old student from Royal College of Art in Anhui, China.

Lu Yan and other four students from Royal College of Art in London, USA, Korea and France conducted a year of design research.
The award presentation bouquet is made up of traditional English herbs.
The awards and costumes for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games were announced on the 1 day.
For the 60th anniversary celebration of Queen's accession to the throne, the colors of the podium and costumes are all the same as that of the Royal coronation robes.
The London Olympic Organizing Committee revealed that the awards and costumes were from a student design team at Royal College of Art in London.
It took them 8 months to complete the design.
Sebastian C, chairman of the London Organizing Committee, said the two designs were delivered to students, which fully embodies the slogan of the London Olympic Games: the spirit of "motivating one generation".
During the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, 805 awards will be held in more than 30 venues, involving about 4400 athletes.

The flowers are all made in England, mainly made from various traditional herbs such as roses and peppermint, lavender and rosemary.
