According to the national basic safety technical specification for textile products (GB18401-2003), China's textile products are divided into three categories: Category A is infant products (textile products used by infants and young children under 24 months old), and the words "baby products" should be marked on the instructions.

Class B and C are products that are directly exposed to skin and non direct contact with skin. They should be marked on the instructions for safety technical requirements.

Reporters visited the 9 children's clothing stores of Jian Zheng Road and Yuan Hu Road, and found that the children's clothing sold in these stores was of uneven quality.

Some shops will smell a pungent smell when they walk in. Most clothing labels only contain brand and manufacturer information. Some labels are printed on the printed products that can directly contact the skin with "B" products, but they are re labeled with "C" labels that can not be directly contacted with the skin.

Some children's clothing feels hard and smells bad.

Some shops do not smell bad, and clothing labels also contain information about fiber composition and safety categories.

In the 9 shops visited by reporters, only 3 brands of labels are more complete, all of which are brand clothes.

The labels are not complete, labels are confused or label free clothing is sold in some "foreign trade" and "discount stores".

When a reporter asked why there was no relevant label information, many shopkeepers replied: "clothes are Korean version, imported goods do not have such information."

Yuan Hu Road, originally a high-end brand store for infant and child products, also began selling some "miscellaneous cards", and some clothes did not have complete label information.

The salesperson of the shop told reporters that because the children grew too fast, if the mothers bought the expensive high-end brand clothes for their babies, they would not be able to wear them very soon, so most young mothers would not buy too expensive, so the store had to "pform".

In the children's shopping mall of people's East Road, reporters also found some children's T-shirts with direct contact with the skin labeled "C".

In children's clothing and children's clothing wholesale market, children's clothing products sold in the middle of the people's market are mostly brand names, with no safety category and fiber content.

It is reported that the national basic safety technical specification for textile products (GB18401-2010) will be formally implemented in August 1st this year.

Compared with the 2003 version of the textile national standard, the revised version 2010 of the new national standard is more detailed, and the sampling range of infant clothing extends from 24 months to 36 months.

That is to say, after August 1st, children's clothing under the age of 3 should be implemented in class a standard, and the production enterprise must indicate the word "baby products" on the instructions.

The reporter also learned that China has promulgated the "infant clothing standard" in 2008, which stipulates that infant clothing can not be dry cleaned, and requires manufacturers to mark the product labels.

When interviewed by reporters, it was found that only some children's clothing brands had "no dry cleaning" signs. Some clothes were on the washing reminder, and only labeled "non chlorine bleaching".

Reporters found that some of the high-end brands of infant clothing and children's wear began to implement the 2010 version of the textile national standard.

But in a shop where reporters interviewed, no salesperson knew anything about the new national standard to be implemented.

Some shopkeepers believe that the new national standard of textile should be implemented by the manufacturer, and the owner can not check it.

Shopkeepers also said they would pay attention to whether the product was carried out according to the new standards in the next purchase.

She expects that after the implementation of the new national standard of clothing products, businesses can enter the products according to the new standards, so that young mothers can buy "reassuring clothes" for their babies.
