When I questioned this point, I was about 12 years old. Why should I let others decide what I was wearing? I was only a child and I was born in this small town.

My parents are very good, but they are very conservative.

They are the most common people in the world.

They have a huge definition of life: don't be conspicuous, just be an ordinary person.

It's strange, but it really doesn't suit me.

< p > Yes! This is part of my work with a sense of frustration.

At first, you will have a perfect idea on how to dress the entire design series on the T stage, as well as show and model.

But then you will have one thousand technical problems: zipper, button, fabric and so on.

Too many details will change the best picture in your mind.

I always say that designing a series is like fighting for five months, and at the same time, you must not lose your original idea.

Sometimes there will be problems on the first two days of the show. You have your own favorite works. They look just like you originally wanted, and then you look for the right model to wear it.

The wrong model is devastating for a set of look.

< p > How do you find the right model? < /p >

< p > this is really hard.

To tell the truth, I spent a lot of time screening.

My own brand has 25 models, so Dior used 40 to 45 models.

There are 15 very good ones, and 3 others that I think are perfectly consistent with the design concept.

I always hope that I can clone these three models.

< p > who is the perfect candidate for Dior? < /p >

< p > there is no fixed type.

And Dior Homme is different from my own brand.

For Kris Van Assche, I am a client, I will do what I want to wear, and its style will be closer to my personal.

In Dior, I will have a more comprehensive view, because I want to meet the needs of different customers.

We will have some young customers, choose more crazy clothes, and have traditional customers, like tailored suits, such as politicians or businessmen.

In order to make a perfect suit, I always try to find inspiration and make more customized clothing.

< p > Dior is a great pressure! Dior Homme was very successful before I came. My task is to define a brand new story and a new outline.

< p > (laughter) I am lucky to be able to do this job.

It's also lucky to have your own brand, which is hard for young designers nowadays.

A lot of people may imagine me, but I've been working hard for many years to reach today's height. I started this kind of effort when I was 18 years old.

All my life has contributed to what I am doing now, so yes, I am lucky, but this has never been a pie in the sky.

< p > obviously, I need some time to find a balance, but fortunately the two brands are in Paris.

There is only 20 minutes between the two offices. I will stay in each office for two or three days, and I will stay for a few days if I need to.

In this way, I can reach my team on both sides for the first time. They are very proud of me, because even if I am not here, they will know how to continue.

My team is really strong. They enable me to work flexibly.

Now, the three week holiday sounds very good, especially after the fashion week, but the fact is, I can't take a vacation, because I will regret it in the next season.

It will be nice to rest for a few days.

I am also very conscious that I am the first step in the whole process. If I am late, the whole chain will slow down: design process, production, price list, logistics and sales.

< p > Christian Dior has never designed clothes for men. Have you plated the history of Dior into a male version, or is it purely your own idea of Dior Homme? < /p >

The essence of < p > Dior studio is technology.

This is a very important point, because not many men's clothing brands are like this.

Consumers can see quality and creativity in Dior products, and a garment can reflect all of them.

Of course, I spent a lot of time studying Mr. Dior's history, but what I did was not related to his fashion or fashion at that time.

I am very respectful of beauty and Mr. Dior's view of the modern world, and that particular grace has a natural influence on me.

Today, Dior Homme is my interpretation of Mr. Dior's viewpoint.
