Xinjiang Cotton Straw Project Will Enter The Stage Of Large-Scale Industrial Production.
< p > recently, the biotechnology project of cotton straw was officially started in Yuli County. This indicates that the Xinjiang cotton straw biotechnology project will enter the stage of large-scale industrial production.

< p > Xinjiang has about 20000000 mu of cotton, but the cotton stalks left after harvest are not burned or lost in the fields.
The cotton stalk full mechanized harvesting technology and micro fermentation technology developed by Xinjiang oasis Biotechnology Co., Ltd. can dry and dispose these abandoned cotton stalks and turn them into ruminant livestock feed.
The first phase of the project is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year. It is estimated that 300 thousand tons of cotton stalk fermented feed will be produced annually, 200 thousand tons of microbial fertilizer fermented by cotton stalks, and 1000 tons of edible fungi.
The two phase of construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

< p > according to experts, in recent decades, domestic and foreign countries have been looking for the best way to degrade lignocellulose from plant straw, and biological fermentation is a good method.
However, in cotton stalk utilization, cotton stalk contains toxic gossypol, and its crude fiber content is high and its palatability is poor. Besides, its storage and pportation are difficult and its utilization rate is low.

< p > Lv Quangui, associate professor of mechanical Transportation College of Xinjiang Agricultural University, said that in the past, cotton harvesting was done by manual and single sector operation. It was inefficient and costly, and could not be formed to provide raw materials for factory production. Mechanized joint operation could solve this problem.

< p > Xinjiang intermediate harvest farm machinery company has developed 9LRZ-2.7 special equipment for green storage after more than three years of development, and solved the problems existing in the joint operation of cotton stalk harvesting, processing and pportation.
< /p >
< p > it is understood that after the project is completed and put into operation, the value of 1 million 600 thousand mu of cotton stalk around the project can be excavated annually, and it can provide 600 thousand sheep with one year feed.
