Guangdong Huidong Shoe Workshop Fire Caused 2 Deaths And 3 Injuries

A fire broke out at a shoe workshop in Huang Bu Town, Huidong yesterday morning, killing 2 people and injuring 3 people.

The injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment.

After receiving the report, Huang Yebin, Secretary of the Huizhou municipal Party committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, deputy secretary of the municipal Party committee, mayor Li Ruqiu, vice mayor Li Xuanmin and Yang Canpei immediately asked for the best efforts to do the rehabilitation work, rescue the wounded, carry out the safety inspection, and ensure social security and stability.

After the fire broke out, Huidong county fire brigade and Jilong fire squadron immediately dispatched 4 fire engines to the scene to carry out the rescue work and extinguished the fire at about 5:46 in the morning.

The main leaders of the Municipal Public Security Fire Bureau, the Municipal Security Supervision Bureau and the Huidong county Party committee and county government rushed to the scene to direct fire fighting and rescue of the wounded, and do the work of the aftermath of the deceased and the investigation and handling of the fire.

The county was immediately held at 10 a.m. on the day of the accident, deploying the county safety production special renovation work, and composed of 4 working groups, respectively, led by a county leader, immediately to the whole county of various types of enterprises and public gathering places to conduct a comprehensive inventory and renovation.

At present, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
