Hangzhou Is Officially Awarded As The Capital Of E-Commerce In China.
As the national "95" e-commerce pilot city and the "fifteen" e-commerce application demonstration city, the construction and application of e-commerce in Hangzhou started early, developed rapidly and has a wide range of fields, and the construction of e-commerce based on B2B information service mode is the leading domestic market.
On the morning of September 4, 2008, the Eleventh China International E-commerce conference Hangzhou branch and the "China Electronic Commerce Capital" awarding ceremony were held at Hangzhou peace Convention and Exhibition Center.
Song Ling, chairman of the China Association of electronic commerce, and Cai Qi, mayor of Hangzhou, attended the conference and unveiled the cards. Hangzhou has officially become the "capital of China's e-commerce". Hangzhou, which has been making efforts to build "China's e-commerce capital", has finally come to fame.

At the ceremony, Song Ling said that Hangzhou is the strongest place in the domestic e-commerce environment. The strong demand has made the development of electronic commerce flourishing. At present, there are more than 1 million 480 thousand registered users of the Internet. In the first place, the number of e-commerce websites in China is more than 1/6 in the whole country. The number of e-commerce websites in the country ranks first in the country, and there are more than 1000 e-commerce service professional enterprises. The income of e-commerce services is 2 billion 544 million yuan.
These figures are enough to make Hangzhou a real gathering place for e-commerce companies.
Cai Qi pointed out that e-commerce is a new business mode and a major change in the way of market pactions.
To further support the development of e-commerce, Hangzhou will strive to build the first e-business University in China to provide professional talents for e-commerce enterprises.
At the meeting, Sun Deliang, chairman of the Internet business treasure, was invited to represent the leading enterprises in Hangzhou's e-commerce. He made an important speech on the current development trend of the global B2B e-commerce, and predicted that with the popularity of e-commerce in China's small and medium enterprises in the future, it will leap from the era of "high cost and high threshold" to the era of "low threshold cabbage prices", and appealed to the government to encourage "moderate competition".
In recent years, there are nearly 1000 e-commerce industry clusters represented by Alibaba and net Sheng business treasure in Hangzhou.
The operation mode of combining supply chain with e-commerce has already formed and begun to mature in Hangzhou.
It is understood that since 1997, when Sun Deliang founded the first B2B e-commerce website in Hangzhou, countless e-commerce companies have sprung up in Hangzhou.
In May 29th of this year, the China Electronic Commerce Association decided to grant Hangzhou the title of "China's e-commerce capital". At the same time, Hangzhou has formulated the "three year action plan" for Hangzhou to build "China's e-commerce capital" (Draft). It plans to make Hangzhou a national e-commerce professional website gathering center and a national network business gathering center in 2010, and become an internationally renowned and leading domestic e-commerce city.
