Paule Ka was born in Lille, France, and grew up in Brazil. Designer Serge Cajfinger was founded in 1987.

Because of its love for fashion, Serge began to display window displays at Yves Saint Laurent's shop in Lille at the age of 16. In 1974, Serge and his mother and aunt opened a boutique named Paule Ka in Lille, and quickly received the welcome of customers.

In 1987, Serge decided to launch a series of Paule Ka brand names and sell them in Paris shops such as Victoire, Franck & Fils and Lord Buddha and Barney's s in New York.
