From The Three Inch Golden Lotus To The Moon Shoe

The museum contains nearly 13 thousand pairs of shoes, over 1000 pairs of shoes and related artworks for immediate display. These are housed in the building of the four floor Museum of the Bata Museum, designed by Raymond Moriyama of Vancouver. The building looks like a shoe box with shoe art to protect shoes from moisture, dust and light.
At present, the museum has nearly 13 thousand pairs of shoes, spanning 4500 years.
It includes the clogging shoes used in France in nineteenth Century to crush the chestnut shells, the exquisite Chinese silk shoes, the Japanese samurai shoes made of polar bear fur, and shoes made of human hair.

Along the reverse clock on the left, we can see ancient Egypt, Rome, China and other places. At that time, shoes worn by human beings and different religions also had different forms of shoes. Then, in front of the big exhibition cabinet, we developed unique shoes for all kinds of climate and environment, including shoes made of reed grass and made up of 40 centimeters in tube shape.
