The scope of the inspection mainly includes the national key areas of heavy metal pollution prevention and control and key industries and enterprises.

For lead-acid battery enterprises, the generation, collection, storage and disposal of hazardous wastes should be inspected.

This special inspection requires all levels of environmental protection departments to check all heavy metal enterprises in the area and check them secretly. The environmental protection departments at all levels should go straight to the scene, direct inspection according to "three not three straight", that is, "no time, no greeting, no listening to report".

The organization of environmental monitoring, environmental emergency, environmental monitoring and other institutions will understand the real situation of heavy metal enterprises in the area.

The environmental protection department will carry out a quick investigation of the outstanding environmental offences found in the inspection.
