The First Foreign Donor In Qinhuangdao Successfully Contributed In Beijing

　　 Today Qinhuangdao volunteer Yang Xiuqun, accompanied by her husband Fu Jun, successfully donated 200 ml of hematopoietic stem cells in Air Force PLA General Hospital of Beijing, bringing hope for a Korean hematological patient. It is reported that due to the fact that the non consanguineous hematopoietic stem cells have a low coincidence rate, and the international bone marrow bank has lower matching rate, Yang Xiuqun has become the first person to donate blood stem cells in Qinhuangdao.

Yang Xiuqun, a 42 year old furniture salesman, began to volunteer blood donation from 2000, and joined the hematopoietic donor database in May 2005. With her help, her husband, Fu Jun, became a volunteer for hematopoietic stem cell donation. In August 1st this year, the Red Cross staff of the city contacted Yang Xiuqun because her hematopoietic stem cells were successfully matched with a Korean hematological patient. "This is a million or even a fraction of a million chance. I will save this foreign patient!" Yang Xiuqun told the author. "I am so happy to receive the notice of successful matching."

In order to help the Korean patient, Yang Xiuqun began to strengthen physical exercise, insisted on taking a walk, exercising, living on time, and choosing light meals, instead of eating chili peppers. At the end of September, Yang Xiuqun succeeded in matching the pass rate with 10 points and passed a rigorous physical examination. For his wife's behavior, the husband supported the army very much. In order to take care of his wife, on October 17th afternoon, two couples, accompanied by the staff of the Red Cross Society of Qinhuangdao, went to Beijing to collect hematopoietic stem cells.

City Food and drug administration moral lecture lecture on foreign etiquette
