For this reason, the Ministry of industry and Commerce requests that the new and rebuilt chemical fiber (polyester) project should conform to the national industrial policy and related industrial planning and layout requirements, and meet the requirements of the overall land use planning, urban master plan, environmental protection planning and so on.

At the same time, draft opinions prohibit the construction of regenerated chemical fiber (polyester) projects in drinking water source protection areas, nature reserves, scenic spots and important ecological functions areas approved by the people's government at or above the provincial level.
