From the exchanges between Vietnam and India and other national business associations and purchasers from the Canton Fair, they were informed that these countries would like to seek more opportunities for development through the adjustment of China's industrial policies and develop textile and garment industries to solve their domestic employment problems.
China Textile chamber of Commerce said at Canton Fair that from 2014 to September, China's textile and clothing trade reached 30 billion 910 million (US dollars, the same below), and China's textile and garment exports accounted for about 36% of Global trade. But it is expected that India and Vietnam will seize the share of China in the next ten years, and China's garment industry must accelerate its spanformation.
China Textile chamber of Commerce pointed out that the characteristics of China's garment and textile industry in 2014 were:
First, stable internal and external environment and stable growth of textile and clothing exports.
Two, exports to Europe and the United States grew, exports to Japan continued to be sluggish, exports to the United States grew steadily, clothing export volume and price rose, and the growth rate of ASEAN exports slowed down.
Three, exports of textiles and clothing will grow simultaneously, but the price of cotton products will decline.
Four, textile imports are decreasing, clothing imports are increasing and prices are falling.
Five, the decline in cotton imports is obvious, the difference between inside and outside cotton prices is narrowed, and the price of Khmer cotton is hard to sustain.
On the other hand, according to WTO data, the growth rate of textile and clothing exports in Vietnam and India over the past three years has been higher than the average growth rate in the world and China.
The textile chamber of Commerce said that during the Canton Fair, it was informed by the exchange of business associations and purchasers such as Vietnam and India that these countries wanted to seek more opportunities for development through the adjustment of China's industrial policy and develop textile and garment industry to solve their domestic employment.
Although China's textile and garment exports account for about 36% of the world's trade, India accounts for only 4% and Vietnam accounts for only 2%, but it is estimated that some share of China's share will be seized in the next ten years.
It is estimated that in 2017, India's textile and clothing exports and domestic demand will reach 180 billion yuan, direct employment will increase by three million, and indirect employment will increase by more than four million. Vietnam and other ASEAN countries are seeking investment from the United States to seek American help through the TPP (span Pacific Partnership).
China Textile chamber of Commerce estimates that China's textile and garment industry in the medium and short term still ranks first in the global competitiveness. However, it calls for fierce competition and foothold in itself, resolutely spanforming and upgrading its development strategy, developing its own brand, expanding export base construction and accelerating the process of going out.
