My Cotton Biology Research Has Entered A Stage Of Rapid Development.

With the support of "high quality and high yield cotton molecular breeding" and "cotton functional genomics research and application", the cotton genetic pformation platform established by researchers has provided technical support for functional verification of cotton foreign genes. The sequencing of cotton genome has provided an important basic database for cotton biology research.
The combination of the two provides an unprecedented opportunity for the exploration and utilization of cotton important functional genes, molecular breeding and even genome design breeding, marking the rapid development of cotton biology research in China.
Development
Stage.
In order to break through the establishment of "cotton petiole tissue culture and high differentiation rate material selection method", a highly efficient regeneration technology system and a high differentiation rate material selection method for cotton mature tissue culture were established.
At present,
Research
20 stable materials were selected, and a stable tissue culture system was established. The conversion rate of the new system was 32.9%, 2.88 times that of the original system, and the petiole pformation rate was 51.8%, which was 4.5 times the conversion rate of the original hypocotyl. The new system was used to validate 156 candidate genes for laboratory pformation in 17 domestic units.
The new system created a large number of new genetically modified materials, and submitted 865 copies of the medium term treasury materials. 165 of the materials approved by the Ministry of agriculture were approved by the Ministry of agriculture in different stages of safety evaluation, and 47 of them were genetically modified biosafety certificates.

Research
24 pgenic cotton varieties were bred.
Genetically modified materials were also cited by Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Zhejiang University, and more than 20 new pgenic cotton varieties were created, creating an economic benefit of 1 billion 786 million yuan.
The Institute has also completed the genome sequencing of diploid cotton cultivars - Asiatic Cotton.
The researchers used high-resolution genetic linkage maps to locate 90.4% of the genome sequences on 13 chromosomes and found that the number of Asian cotton protein genes was 41330.
Sequencing results are important agronomic traits in cotton.
