The commercialization of nano textile fibers is also developing rapidly. In 2009, 38 new products were launched. In 2010, various kinds of nano fiber terminal products began to emerge, and more than 113 new products were launched. After that, though they began to decline slightly, they could still maintain about 100 new products each year.

At present, the most common nanofiber products are:

1. bamboo charcoal: bamboo charcoal towel / bath towel, bamboo charcoal warm gloves, bamboo charcoal bra, bamboo charcoal briefs, bamboo charcoal socks, bamboo charcoal slippers and so on.

2. nano silver fiber: contains antibacterial home decoration textiles, nano silver underwear, nano silver sanitary cotton, nano silver mask and so on.

3. functional fiber: including cool clothing, heating clothing, energy function, health care and so on.

4. photocatalyst fiber: nano deodorizing antibacterial insoles, photocatalyst bright and white cleaning towel.

Nanotechnology is applied to textile fibers. It is the most commercialized and most accessible product of the five major producers. Although it is much higher than the price of non nanotechnology textiles, many consumers are willing to buy nano functional textiles after experiencing the function.

With the vigorous development of commercialization, it means that the market competition is becoming more and more powerful.

In addition, the problem of poor quality products flooding the market has become a big problem for the industry. Not only do they not only eat the profits of the nanoscale manufacturers, but also make the consumers question nanometers. The relevant industry expects the government to strictly check and give substantive protection and assistance to the enterprises that are seriously involved in R & D.

Affected by the huge expansion of fiber production capacity in mainland China, the amount of raw terephthalic acid (PTA) exported to mainland China has been greatly reduced, and the price of nylon related caprolactam (CPL) has been on the decline. In the wake of the rising self sufficiency rate of the mainland's fiber industry, Taiwan's textile industry has been seriously impacted.

Some manufacturers said that traditional fiber products were not able to compete with the mainland at low prices, resulting in a loss in the operation of the company.

But after the company invested in nanofibers, it gave or promoted the performance and price of fiber products, and therefore shifted the functional products market to Europe and the United States, bringing positive benefits to the company, and the loss of traditional textile fiber products by nanofiber products, so that the company could maintain its operation and survival.

It is expected that if the functional market continues to expand in the future, there will be an opportunity for Taiwan textile industry to grow substantially and raise gross margins.

Modern people attach importance to sports and leisure, and then push up the demand of functional fiber products. Clothing pays more attention to ventilation, warmth and comfort, and even promotes blood circulation and rehabilitation.

The US Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has accused the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that it has approved the Swiss Corporation HeiQ AGS-20 antibacterial additive (including silver and nanosilver) in the textile case without the passing of safety inspection. The United States Court ruled that EPA should be reassessed, and HeiQ also made product labeling amendments before it could be used, including reducing AGS-20's maximum usage, from 20ppm to 19ppm, and restricting the use of AGS-20 only in adult textiles, excluding items that infants and young children might wear or bite.

As a result, European and American countries begin to attach importance to the safety of nanomaterials for human body, proceed with safety and regulations, and manufacturers may be banned or restricted by nanomaterials in the future.
