According to Agence France-Presse: Worn Again The company has developed a chemical recovery technology for textiles: separating and extracting polyester fibers and cotton yarns from old or unused clothing and textiles. The technology has entered the last stage of development, and will be tested in the supply chain of Kering's sports brand Puma and H&M this year.
The technology is expected to replace polyester fiber, a non renewable resource from petroleum refining, and will provide a new environmentally friendly raw material for cellulosic fibers and fabrics in the future.
Most importantly, this new technology has solved the first difficulty of textile recycling, namely, how to separate mixed fiber clothing and how to separate pigment and other impurities from polyester fiber and fiber composite.

Woodies has seen the effect in the two month platform trial operation. It is expected that sales will rise by 15% last month, and the return rate will be reduced.
Both Woodies and O Farrell acknowledge that the technology of simulating digital fitting on 3D models is still in its early stage. But Woodies has seen other possibilities of application, such as expanding to more clothing categories, reconstructing the size system of clothing to meet the growing demand for "mass customization".
