A few days ago, in 2015, "Quanzhou Maotai Institute of fine arts and design" Maotai cup footwear product design course competition (workshop) was officially launched, and once again opened up the innovation path of industrial, design, and business associations, colleges and universities.

The tide of industrial design is sweeping through Quanzhou. Following the "Strait Cup" industrial design (Jinjiang) competition in Fujian province and the "International Bird umbrella design in rain bowl", Quanzhou Academy of fine arts and Design College "Mao Tai Cup".

Product thematic design course competition (workshop) has also officially started.

It is understood that the event was organized by Quanzhou Industrial Design Association, Quanzhou Academy of fine arts and design, Mao Tai (Fujian).

Ding Sien, general manager of Mao Tai shoes, said that as long as experts know, the technical content and functional value of a pair of shoes are basically reflected in the sole.

As one of the most professional sole manufacturers in the industry, the company has attached importance to industrial design for a long time. Last year, it successfully participated in the actual combat competition of the product design course of Huaqiao University, Academy of Fine Arts. During the two month period, the students learned and analyzed the existing market footwear products through market research. According to the survey results, the design of sole structure, shoe material adoption and material combination was designed, and one hundred design works were created. Among them, there are high heels that can change the height of soles, automatic guided blind shoes, spine like supporting shoes for bionic spine shape, and all kinds of children's shoes full of childishness.

Yang Xuetai, President of the Municipal Industrial Design Association, said that the innovation of school enterprise cooperation mode, enterprises, universities and associations can gain the affirmation from all sides through similar events, not only improve the ability of students to design and practice, but also inject fresh vitality into enterprises, provide new vision and new ideas for enterprise management, product development personnel and designers, at the same time, they can also recommend talents for enterprises, expand cooperation between colleges and enterprises, and achieve the goal of win-win for all three parties.

The responsible person of the Quanzhou Academy of fine arts and design said that the "Mao Tai Cup" activity will last for more than a month.

During the activity, the students are divided into three teams in the form of group. Each group of thirteen players will jointly complete the product design activities of this competition with the help of their respective instructors.

"The organizers of the contest focus on originality and intelligent functional design. The works will be scored through originality, functionality, appearance and pre design analysis. The overall score will also be focused on the design of sole, of which the sole design is 70% of the score and the vamp design is 30% of the score."

It is understood that after the start of activities, students will understand and analyze the existing market footwear products through market research. According to the survey results, we will carry out innovative design for shoe sole structure, shoe material adoption and material combination.
