Naiyya Saggi, founder and chief executive officer of BabyChakra, a India childcare service platform, pointed out that 70% of India families are nuclear families. He said: "young parents come to our website for help, looking for pediatricians, maternity hospitals, baby garments, accessories and experts' suggestions."
BabyChakra covers 15 thousand types of baby services, including health care, education and entertainment, helping 30 million parents in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi make important decisions.
Last August, Arvind Lifestyle Brands, the largest textile group in India, introduced the The Children 's Place (TCP) of the American children's clothing brand to a store in the India market.
The group's chief executive, J Suresh, said the TCP store will expand to 40-50 in the next five years, or 500 thousand rupees.
Arvind already has 7 TCP stores and will open 8 stores in Indore this week, and plans to expand to Ludhiana and Ahmedabad.
