2016 China 3D Digital Costume Design Competition Final Announced

"2016 China 3D digital costume design competition was held in October 28, 2016.

751D PARK79 pavilion was held.

This competition is co sponsored by China Fashion Association and China Fashion Designers Association. Shanghai Toyama Precision Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. as a supporting unit, provides technical support to Raffles (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology School of clothing art and engineering.

The jury is based on creativity.

A total of 19 groups of design works were selected to compete for the gold, silver and bronze medals in terms of proficiency, commercialization and 3D digital design software.

Finally, Yao Yao won the gold prize from the "slow cooking in the garden" by the school of clothing art and engineering of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology. Xue Yi won the silver award from Soochow University art academy, and the Yan Haoyu of Dalian Institute of technology clothing college won the bronze medal.

The award for best popularity is awarded by Xiong Huan from the clothing design and Management Branch of Jiangxi Fashion Institute.

The works of the contestants realized the balance between fashion and marketization under the support of new technology, and combined their strengths in materials and colors to give full play to their advantages.

The contestants are creative, open-minded, smart and skillful in making clothes. They can see the perfect fusion of 3D digital technology and designer's inspiration. The scene shows a visual feast of art and technology integration.

With the continuous maturity of 3D technology, the garment industry is changing from traditional mode to intellectualization. The sewing operation of 3D clothing virtual technology is easy to use. It can be used for sewing and any pattern of any style. Its high-quality real-time rendering image is very close to that of fashion objects. Fashion designers and ordinary consumers can use 3D costume virtual technology to experience the most intuitive fashion effect.

As the first 3D digital clothing design competition, in order to better promote this technology, the organizers went to Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, South-Central University For Nationalities Academy of Fine Arts, Wuhan design and Engineering College of art and design, Tianjin University of Technology and other universities publicity and training, and supported by the Institute of clothing art and engineering, held a week of 3D digital garment design software training.

As the support unit of the competition, Toyama Precision Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. has been concerned about the development and application of new technologies in clothing for many years, and has always been concerned about the development and application of new technologies in clothing.
