Textile And Clothing Appliances Reduced To "Zero Tariff" To Help Deep Enterprises To Develop South America

Since the Spring Festival, the cherry imported from Chile, which is popular among the Chinese people, has been sold for 200 million RMB from the Shenzhen customs area, accounting for more than 80% of the national market.

The "import fever" of Chilean cherry has largely benefited from the "zero tariff" and the convenient customs clearance policy of the China Chile FTA.

In March 1st, the upgraded version of the China Chile self trade agreement, the protocol between the government of People's Republic of China and the government of the Republic of Chile on the revision of the free trade agreement and the free trade agreement on the supplementary agreement on trade in services, was formally implemented.

After implementation, the proportion of trade between China and Chile will reach 98%, including textile and clothing, home appliances and other industries of Shenzhen's export advantage. Shenzhen enterprises will fully enjoy the dividends brought by the Sino Chile FTA.

Zheng Dongyang, deputy director of the customs and Customs Department of Shenzhen customs, said that according to the protocol of the People's Republic of China government and the Republic of Chile government on the revision of the free trade agreement and the supplementary agreement on trade in services in the free trade agreement, the Chinese side will cancel the tariff of some wooden products step by step in the next 3 years. The intellectual side will immediately cancel the tariff of 24 products, such as textiles, clothing, household appliances, sucrose and so on, and the related products will be reduced to "zero tariff" directly.

This is China's second FTA upgrading agreement after the escalation of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area. The upgraded Sino Chile FTA will therefore become the highest free-trade agreement so far in China.
