Among them, "6" refers to the high-end textiles and garments produced by China, accounting for 60% of the global market share; "5" means that China's textile fiber processing accounts for 50% of the world's total; "4" refers to China's textile and garment exports accounted for 40% of the total global trade; "3" means that the number of textile industry practitioners in China accounted for 30% of the global textile industry.

Xiaoping further explained: "China has processed 50% of the world's fiber, but we have made 60% of the high-end products. This shows that our processing level is high and product quality is good. At the same time, we account for 50% of the total fiber processing in the world, but only 30% of the textile workers in the world. This shows that our efficiency is high, automation level is high, and management level is high."

Once upon a time, many Chinese people were proud to wear the clothes of foreign brands. Today, more and more people are more inclined to wear domestic brands. The reason is, Xiaoping said, on the one hand, the better things we do, the real difference between domestic brands and international brands in terms of design and materials, as well as the quality of processing and sewing, and now the gap has basically not existed. On the other hand, the consumers' advocacy of foreign brands is somewhat blind, and in those years, people tend to be rational and no longer blindly pursue brands and pay more. In the future, especially for the "post-90s" and "after 00", they have already lived in a "rich" country. The products they are contacting are not inferior to those of foreign countries. They are even stronger than others in foreign countries, so they will be more close to national brands.

Xiaoping said that although China's textile and chemical fiber industry has made great progress, but with the new era of ordinary people's life needs, there are still short boards need to be filled. First of all, we have been catching up with others for a long time, and others will try harder and try to get rid of us once again, so we can not relax. Secondly, we still have a certain gap in terms of technological innovation, product development, brand influence and so on.

In the face of the new situation, how to make up the short board and find a breakthrough in China's textile and chemical fiber industry? Xiaoping opened the "four main Prescriptions":

First, we must strengthen basic research and forward-looking research. Only by conducting basic research and forward-looking research can we keep the lead.

Second, strive to build a century old shop. Enterprises should focus not only on products but also on their main businesses. In the past few years, real estate is too easy to make money. Many enterprises have gone to half way to engage in real estate, and then get half way to get P2P. This way is impossible to build a century old shop. And throughout the history of foreign brands, the history is very long, and the sense of a hundred years old shop is very strong.

Third, further improve the performance of high-performance fibers. High performance fibers can be used in aviation, aerospace, transportation, industrial production, agriculture and forestry, marine fisheries, energy, environmental protection, communications, medical and health, sports equipment, and many other aspects. It is a new space for the development of textile and chemical fiber industry. In the past 10 years or so, we have shortened the gap between 30 years and 40 years in the developed countries, and now we still have a gap of 15 years. It is very important to strive to flatten them out for 10 years or so.

Fourth, more training of compound talents and cross border talents. Compound talents and transboundary talents are very important for the whole industry. Now many parents are unwilling to let their children learn textile. We need to work together to make the whole society realize that the textile and chemical fiber industry is related to the development of the upstream and downstream industries, from chemical fiber to spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing to clothing, and its prospects are very good. This industry has been divorced from the traditional textile concept and is closely related to all aspects of the national economy.
