China Cotton Turnover Inventory Report (September 2019)

In September, trade frictions between China and the United States eased, and market expectations improved slightly. New cotton is on the market, abundant market resources, and textile companies insist on buying and selling. China's cotton business inventories continue to decline at the end of the month. According to the cotton Logistics Association of China Cotton Association, the survey data of 164 cotton delivery and supervision warehouses in 18 provinces and municipalities nationwide showed that the total inventory of cotton turnover in China was about 1 million 713 thousand and 200 tons at the end of September, representing a reduction of 295 thousand and 400 tons from last month, up 640 thousand and 400 tons compared with the same period last year, but the gap narrowed by 227 thousand and 600 tons last month.

1. Turnover of commodity cotton turnover in the mainland

As of the end of September, the turnover of commodity cotton in the mainland was 587 thousand and 700 tons, a decrease of 49 thousand and 100 tons, including 490 thousand and 500 tons of Xinjiang cotton, 21 thousand and 400 tons of imported cotton and 75 thousand and 800 tons of real estate cotton.

From the perspective of the stock distribution in different provinces, Shandong ranks the first in inventory, 173 thousand and 200 tons, 159 thousand and 800 tons in Jiangsu, 122 thousand and 300 in Henan, 52 thousand and 700 tons in Hubei, 42 thousand and 200 tons in Hebei, 11 thousand and 400 tons in Anhui and Tianjin, and less than 10000 tons in other provinces.

From the perspective of inventory changes, most provinces have been reduced. Among them, the most prominent is Henan Province, which was reduced by 24 thousand and 100 tons from the previous month, followed by 13 thousand and 300 tons in Jiangsu, 9 thousand and 400 tons in Shandong, 6 thousand and 300 tons in Hubei, 4 thousand and 300 tons in Fujian, and 8 thousand and 700 tons in Tianjin, while the other provinces were below 2 thousand tons.

Two, Xinjiang cotton inventory slowed down

By the end of September, the turnover of 43 cotton warehousing cotton stores in Xinjiang was 1 million 125 thousand and 500 tons, a decrease of 246 thousand and 300 tons, up from 840 thousand and 600 tons in the same period last year.

Three, professional warehousing Xinjiang cotton transportation

In September, Xinjiang cotton produced 166 thousand and 600 tons of export volume, down 89 thousand and 600 tons, but it was 114 thousand and 400 tons higher than that of the same period last year.

In 2019, 1-9 tons of highways and railways were shipped 2 million 567 thousand and 800 tons, an increase of 157 thousand and 800 tons compared with the same period last year.
