Wang Yu Attended The Forum Of Executive Director Of The World Trade Research Council

On the morning of October 28, 2019, the China World Trade Organization Research Conference held the "forum on leadership of the executive director of the China World Trade Organization Research Seminar" in Beijing. It was attended by six leading businessmen, namely, textiles, minerals, chemicals, machinery and electrical products, pharmaceuticals and health products, food and animal husbandry, contracted foreign projects, and the leaders of the association of foreign investment enterprises and the European Economic and Technological Cooperation Association. I will be vice chairman Wang Yu and will be invited to speak on the current situation of textile and clothing trade.

The World Trade Research Council Chairman Chong Quan and vice chairman of Huo Jianguo respectively analyzed and estimated the current global economic and trade situation, Sino US economic and trade frictions and the current domestic economic situation, pointing out that the overall external environment is complex and the downward pressure on the domestic economy continues to rise, and China's foreign trade faces both internal and external challenges. China's deep integration into globalization must adhere to the path of reform and opening up and further liberate labor productivity. The WTO Research Institute is willing to become an exchange platform to enhance communication and cooperation with businesses and associations and provide a more comprehensive consultation service for enterprises.

Vice President Wang Yu delivered a speech on the current Sino US trade war and foreign trade relief measures on the textile and garment industry, and elaborated on the difficulties and problems currently facing the textile and garment industry. It is hoped that the WTO Research Council will help the industry voice and help the chamber of Commerce appeal to the government and WTO to resolve trade disputes through multilateral channels. In addition, vice president Wang Yu also introduced the information service function of the chamber of Commerce to the research society, hoping to establish an information link mechanism with the Research Council.
