The New Organization Of PTA Branch Of China Chemical Fiber Association Was Established

In October 17th, the PTA annual meeting of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as "PTA sub committee") was held in Changsha, Hunan in 2019. At the meeting, a new PTA branch organization was set up. The 28 industry chain related enterprises such as PTA production enterprise, engineering company, equipment supplier and circulation institution formed the PTA branch. Yisheng Petrochemical was elected chairman of the current PTA branch, Yisheng Petrochemical representative Li Shuirong as chairman, and 8 enterprises were elected vice chairman of PTA branch.

Among them, 8 vice president units include: Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Fujian Fuhua industry and Trade Co., Ltd., Tong Kun group Limited by Share Ltd, Jiangyin Cheng Xing Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Dushan Energy Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Honggang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou commodity exchange. The Secretariat of the PTA branch is located in the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, and is the Secretary General of PTA branch by Wan Lei. The Ministry of chemical industry of CNPC was elected honorary chairman of the PTA branch, Jiang Shi Cheng, member of the Chinese Academy of engineering, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering and vice president of East China University of Science and Technology. Professor Li Xi of Zhejiang University was elected as an expert consultant by Qian Feng.

Qiao Yixin, deputy general manager of Yisheng petrochemical, said at the meeting that the Yisheng Petrochemical Company will make every effort to support the healthy development of PTA industry and contribute to technological progress, energy conservation, emission reduction and cleaner production.

It is reported that Yisheng Petrochemical's current PTA capacity is 13 million 100 thousand tons, while new projects with an annual output of 6 million tons are being built. Its PTA products are partly used for the production of polyester products inside the parent company, while vigorously developing the international market and exporting products to Southeast Asia, Russia, the Middle East, Africa and other countries and regions. "On the one hand, on the one hand, the parent company will continue to expand the scale of polyester, such as the newly built PET bottle production project with an annual output of 3 million tons, expand the advantages of the industrial chain, and digest PTA on its own; on the other hand, grasp the opportunity of" one belt and one road "and expand the export market of the countries along the border. Qiao Xin said.

In the exchange session, representatives from Hengli petrochemical, Fuhua chemical industry, Yizheng, Hainan, Tianjin, BP, PetroChina, Tianjin, China, Tianjin, Sinopec, Zhengzhou, China and other countries, respectively, have discussed their respective operational ideas and development plans, the current market situation of the PTA industry, the utilization of advanced technology, the formulation of industry standards, the transformation of PTA production equipment and the future development trend. At the same time, the representatives from the PTA circulation field also exchange topics such as how PTA futures and options and other financial instruments can better serve the industry, how to prevent and solve the risks of spot business.

Delegates generally agreed that the current development of PTA industry showed some distinctive characteristics. First, the industry is experiencing a new round of expansion. Since the beginning of this year, domestic PTA devices are basically loaded at full capacity, with relatively considerable profits. This has promoted a new round of PTA projects, and some of the original devices have been reopened.

"No collapse of the industry, only the bankrupt enterprises, the survival of the fittest is a normal market rule. For business operations, if the market is not good, the product stage loss, you can reduce production, but if you wait until the market is good, then build new projects, it will be too late to miss the development opportunities. One participant said so.

Two, enterprises are developing upstream and reducing operational risks. Several participants said that in recent years, PTA new projects are mostly driven by the development of refining and chemical integration of polyester enterprises, and products have sales channels. Large enterprises also realized the self production and sale of PX through the production of PTA, making up the short board and expanding the advantages of the industrial chain. At the same time, the new project adopts the latest technology and equipment, and has the competitive advantage of industry. Overall, PTA as a main product has increased the profit of enterprises. It is relatively difficult for enterprises to build an integrated competitive advantage by developing upstream refining links. At this stage, PTA has become an important part of the refining and chemical integration industry and the end product of refining and chemical industry.

Three, the domestic PTA market is still in existence. Although there are certain risks, risks and opportunities coexist. At present, it is very important to promote the high quality development of the industry.

Combined with the current operation of PTA industry, Chen Xinwei, vice president of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, pointed out that the PTA sub committee should focus on five aspects. First, we should pay attention to the correspondence between the fast release of PTA industry and the downstream demand, and maintain the PTA industry running well. Two, we should pay close attention to the new PX projects and the development of the industry, and pay attention to the supply of PTA raw materials. Three, we should pay attention to the impact of uncertainties in international trade, changes in the oil market, and changes in the competitive pattern of the polyester industry on the PTA industry. The four is to make use of advanced technology, especially intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing technology to transform and upgrade the existing production capacity. Five, we should strengthen the organization and propaganda work in the circulation field, strengthen information communication, enhance risk awareness, and make full use of futures, options and other financial instruments to enhance their ability to serve the industry.
