China Textile Enterprises Accelerate Transformation And Foster New Advantages In Foreign Trade
In October 31st, the third session of the 126th China Import and Export Fair opened in Guangzhou. It mainly displayed textiles, clothing, shoes, office bags and leisure products, medicine and health care, food products.
In November 1st, the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as "China Textile chamber of Commerce") pointed out at the 126th Canton Fair that in the first three quarters of 2019, the total export volume of China's textile and apparel reached 201 billion 950 million US dollars, down 2.7% from the same period last year. At present, although the development of China's textile industry is facing unprecedented difficulties, textile enterprises are actively accelerating transformation and upgrading in the aspects of global layout, intelligent manufacturing and R & D design, and actively fostering new advantages in foreign trade development.
The 126th Canton Fair's textile and clothing hall has over 9000 booths, consisting of seven exhibition areas, including children's clothing, underwear, clothing accessories and accessories, sportswear and casual wear, men's and women's wear, textile raw materials and household textiles. Among them, there are more than 2000 specially equipped enterprises and 1782 booths. It has played an exemplary role in promoting the exhibition scale and exhibition level of the textile and clothing hall.During the Canton Fair, according to the questionnaire survey conducted by China Textile chamber of Commerce, China's top ten textile enterprises have overseas investment or cooperation factories. Among them, Dongfang International, Jiangsu Cathay Pacific, Zhejiang China World Trade Center, Jiangsu SOHO, Guangdong silk and Yida group are over 10 overseas investment or cooperation factories. In the first 8 months of 2019, the export volume of domestic companies remained flat or slightly decreased, and the export volume of overseas factories maintained an increase of 7% to 70%. The investment destination countries are mainly concentrated in Vietnam, Kampuchea and Burma. In the next five years, the company plans to transfer 20% to 30% of its capacity to overseas factories. By accelerating the layout of globalization, these Chinese textile enterprises have greatly improved their ability to receive orders and international competitiveness.
According to the briefing, at present, China's textile and clothing foreign trade leading enterprises have accelerated the pace of building intelligent factories. Their products are mainly concentrated in many fields such as yarns, fabrics, garments, home textiles, and so on. Through the upgrading and transformation, the intelligent spinning mill has increased the workload from 800 workers to 5000 spindles, which effectively reduced the cost of labor, improved the production efficiency and improved the quality of the products.
In the field of clothing, Chinese textile enterprises continue to increase investment in R & D and design, pay attention to basic equipment procurement, personnel training and new technology applications, and improve their R & D design capabilities, providing better services for buyers and brands, the China Textile chamber of Commerce said.
