As the main body of production and operation, textile enterprises play an important role in economic and social development, energy conservation, environmental protection and comprehensive utilization of resources. The establishment of ecological civilization from the enterprise level can accumulate valuable experience for the industry and even the whole industrial ecological civilization construction, and can also provide an improvement basis for the green assessment of enterprises. In order to better evaluate the "eco friendliness" of textile enterprises, the China Textile Industry Federation and China ecological civilization research and Promotion Association jointly developed the "evaluation index system for demonstration and evaluation of ecological civilization in textile industry". Under the premise of scientific and reasonable layout of enterprises, 60 indicators of five aspects, namely, ecological economy, ecological environment, ecological habitat, ecological culture, and ecological system, were used as yardsticks and scoring criteria for evaluating the creation of ecological civilization in textile enterprises, and guided by this policy to enhance the policy, technology and management of enterprises carrying out demonstration activities of ecological civilization, for short, the "1+5" model.

The ultimate goal of evaluation is to incorporate indicators of ecological civilization, such as economic benefits, resource consumption, environmental risks, education and training, social responsibility, into the comprehensive evaluation system of enterprise economic development. At the same time, through experience accumulation, the system can gradually form an evaluation standard and mechanism in line with the ecological civilization construction and sustainable development of the textile industry.
