Italy Luxury Industry Association Altagamma Will Set Up A Chinese Club
The Italy Altagamma Foundation club will be established in Shanghai in 2020. Altagamma China Club will set up a working group composed of representatives of leading enterprises in Italy to further explore the cooperation opportunities of Italy's high-end brands in China.
Italy luxury car manufacturer Martha Lahti (Maserati), China's managing director, Mirko Bordiga, will be the coordinator of Altagamma China Club. He will work closely with Lelio and Gavazza, executive vice president of sales and retail operations of Bvlgari (BVLGARI), as coordinator of Altagamma international project, and cooperate closely with diplomatic and consular personnel in Italy.

Altagamma was founded in 1992. Its mission is to enhance the international competitiveness of Italy's high-end industries, thereby promoting Italy's economic growth. Since its inception, Altagamma has gathered a large number of high-end culture and creative companies in Italy. Its members are in many fields, such as fashion, design, jewelry, food, hotels, automobiles, yachts and health. In addition, the Altagamma foundation has been working with industry research institutions in the luxury market for a long time, such as strategy consulting firms BCG, McKinsey, Bain and so on. It publishes eight survey reports every year, from the aspects of consumption, digital channels, retail and luxury goods, and analyzes the current situation and trend of the global luxury market.
The association set up its first overseas club in Holland in 2018, and the Chinese club will be its second overseas club. Altagamma chairman Andrea Illy said: "the development of China's luxury market is very strong, and the market share is expected to reach 80 billion euros in 2025. At present, 1/3 of the world's luxury consumers come from China. The strategic significance of deepening the Chinese market to the development of high-end luxury brands in Italy will also become increasingly prominent. The Italy Luxury Industry Association China Club will be committed to promoting the development of high-end luxury brands in Italy.

Next year, it is also the 50th anniversary of Sino Italian diplomatic relations. Altagamma China Club is an important part of the framework agreement signed by Andrea Illy and Italy Ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation. The Altagamma side said that the two sides will jointly promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and Italy in the political, economic and cultural fields, "said Altagamma.
Ivan Scalfarotto, Vice Minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation of Italy, said: "the quality of excellence is the consistent feature of" Italy manufacturing ". In the face of increasingly fierce competition in the international market, products with high added value and perfectly showing the essence of enterprises will be the focus of the government's attention. At present, the demand for Italy products in the international market is still growing, and we will face this trend with a positive attitude. " At present, the high-end luxury goods industry in Italy has a market capitalization of 115 billion euros, accounting for 6.85% of the total GDP of Italy, and about 53% of the total industry's sales volume is created by export trade.
According to the introduction, Altagamma China Club will provide support for the development of luxury brands in Italy in many ways, including continuous attention to changes in the trend of tourism consumption in China, active cooperation with design institutes and universities, and luxury tourism experience for Chinese consumers.
