Hubei Market Mask Sales Policy Appropriately Relaxed

In order to alleviate the shortage of medical masks in the current market in the province and meet the urgent needs of the masses, the provincial market supervision bureau and the provincial and drug regulatory bureau jointly issued a document, allowing the import and export of domestic sales masks not listed in the territory to be sold in the province, and put forward specific requirements.

It is reported that the import and export of domestic sales masks that are not listed in the territory are responsible for the purchase and distribution of medicines and medical equipment wholesale qualification in the province, and the establishment and sales account. Before purchasing, the qualification, application standard, product registration certificate, product inspection report and so on shall be inspected, and copies of relevant documents should be retained to ensure that the sources of medical masks are regular and traceable.

Selling imported and exported masks that are not listed in China should ensure that the standards are clear and the quality is qualified. Before purchasing medical masks for export to domestic markets, medical masks manufacturing enterprises shall provide the wholesale enterprises with relevant technical requirements (or product standards), self inspection reports (factory inspection reports or other party's acceptance reports), and make written promises for the quality of products. According to the consistency of the national standard (YY/T0969 - 2013, GB19083-2010, YY0469 - 2011) by the wholesale enterprises, the relevant inspection bodies should be sent to the first place for inspection when the first batch is purchased. Importing medical masks not registered in China, enterprises shall, in accordance with the requirements of the state medical Regulatory Commission for medical devices supervision and regulation on emergency import of medical devices not registered in China, import relevant certificates.

During the epidemic prevention and control of new coronavirus infection, medical masks that meet the above requirements are allowed to be sold in the provincial market.

Provincial authorities announced that after the end of the epidemic, wholesalers should stop buying related medical masks, and wholesale and retail enterprises would allow them to continue to sell for 6 months in the province.
