Burma Products Officially Launched GS1 Code
Burma "standard time" reported on February 23rd, February 22nd, Burma Federation of industry and Commerce held the Burma domestic product officially opened the Burma code (GS1Myanmar) press conference. Vice President min Rui, planned finance minister of industry, Secretary of Commerce, Dan min, governor of Yangon, and chairman of the Federation of industry and commerce, Zuo min Wen attended the ceremony.
Wu Weipiao, chairman of Burma encoding society, said that since today, Burma's domestic products have officially started the internationally recognised 883 prefix Burma code. In the past, due to the fact that Burma did not comply with international standard codes, the products sold to the international market could only be used in cooperation with Thailand and Singapore to use their code. Although it's a product of Burma, the code it reads is in other countries.
According to the global unified coding organization, the use of uniform country codes should become a member state. Therefore, the Burma Federation of industry and commerce, led by the industrial production association, the Retailers Association and the food production association, jointly organized the Myanmar BarcodeAssociation (address: the 6 floor of the Burma Federation of industry and commerce, Tel.: 0944686800209446868004, e-mail: info@gs1myanmar.org). From then on, no longer rely on other countries, they can use the code compiled by their own country. Products with code are beneficial to businesses and consumers. At present, the code has been issued to more than 300 enterprises.
The Burma code association has called on domestic manufacturers to start using internationally recognized Burma codes and expand their domestic and international markets according to international product standards. With the GS1 code, the product can read the product information quickly and accurately wherever it goes. It can reduce product loss and facilitate orderly management in the logistics and warehousing process. The code is recognized worldwide, and can be sold in any shopping mall in the country, and it is more convenient to export to other countries. Since then, Burma products have been proud to sell legally with their own code.
