In April 18th, the reporter learned from the Wuhan customs that in the first quarter of this year, the total import and export value of our province was 62 billion 750 million yuan, down 20.9% compared to the same period last year, of which exports were 31 billion 830 million yuan, down 38.1%, and imports 30 billion 920 million yuan, an increase of 11.1%. Clothing and textiles (mainly for protective products) increased by 23.7 times and 90 times respectively.

General trade import growth, bonded logistics mode import and export double increase. Our province imports and exports 47 billion 340 million yuan in general trade mode, down 21.3%. Among them, exports were 23 billion 680 million yuan, down 40.1%; imports 23 billion 660 million yuan, an increase of 14.5%. Import and export of processing trade amounted to 9 billion 210 million yuan, down 35.4%. Bonded import and export 4 billion 200 million yuan, an increase of 29%.

The import and export value of private enterprises in our province is 27 billion 720 million yuan, down 31.7%. Among them, exports were 17 billion 970 million yuan, down 41.9%; imports 9 billion 750 million yuan, an increase of 1%. Import and export of state-owned enterprises was 19 billion 130 million yuan, an increase of 18%. Foreign investment enterprises import and export 15 billion 810 million yuan, down 28.3%.

ASEAN is the largest trading partner and has maintained an increase in imports and exports to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The top 6 trade partners in our province are ASEAN, the European Union (excluding Britain), the United States, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The total value of imports and exports of the countries along the belt and road is 15 billion 130 million yuan.

Despite the impact of the epidemic, the import and export value of Wuhan is smaller than that of the whole province, with a total import and export value of 39 billion 630 million yuan, still leading position, accounting for 63.2% of the total foreign trade value of the province. Imports and exports of Suizhou, Ezhou and Enshi kept growing. The import and export value of Qianjiang and Ezhou increased by 23.3% and 31.2% respectively.

The province exported 2 billion 600 million yuan of agricultural products, an increase of 9.3%, of which 4.8 times the fruit, 1 times of Chinese herbal medicine, and 42.6% of aquatic products.
