Zhejiang Textile And Clothing Vocational College Across The Mountains And Seas To Promote Precise Poverty Alleviation
In a small village in the mountainous area of southern Qianxi, Guizhou, a workshop transformed by an abandoned sheep pen is working hard in the heat. The four products of the Embroidered Handbag, Shanhai love, jointly developed by Zhejiang Textile and Fashion College and local embroidery girls, have been sold to Shanghai in batches. Recently, enterprises have also received a number of production orders for briefcases and handbags.
Since 2012, the first batch of backbone teachers have been sent to help counterparts in poor areas. The counterparts in Zhejiang Textile and Fashion College have expanded from Xinjiang and Qinghai to Guizhou. The school has made full use of its advantages in talent, technology and resources to help the poor areas to tackle poverty and expand the channels for local people to increase their income.
Relying on talents to promote Counterpart Assistance
"When teachers are brought out, they will be able to train local students, and a group of them will go to the society and get rid of poverty." Zhu Yongzhi, professor and senior engineer of Zhejiang Textile Textile Vocational College, who has worked for five and a half years in the three place, talked about the deepest feeling of helping the poor.
Akesu area, once an important channel of the ancient Silk Road, has always been an important cotton producing area in China. It is named "the hometown of China's long staple cotton" by the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas. However, due to the lack of textile processing industry and technical personnel, the income of local people can only rely on selling cotton, and some areas are gradually getting into poverty.
Lv Xiujun, director of the research and local Cooperation Department of Zhejiang Textile Institute, introduced that in order to solve the difficulties of local personnel training, the school has selected 3 key teachers to assist Aks Vocationl and Technical College in building textile technology related specialties.
There were few professional and textile related jobs in Akesu vocational college, and the construction work was equivalent to starting from scratch. Without students, 20 students interested in textiles were taken as the first batch of training objects from the Department of electrical and mechanical systems. Without teachers, the backbone teachers of other colleges were transferred, and the young teachers were rapidly developed by the traditional way of "helping and supporting".
In 2014, with the joint efforts of the team, the Akesu Vocational College completed the construction of two specialties of new textile technology, modern textile technology, and established the Department of textile engineering in March 2016. Since 2012, there have been more than 400 training teachers and 31 pairs of apprentices.
"Most of the students are local minorities, and we have to train highly skilled talents and textile workers." Professor Zhu Yongzhi also led the team to complete the construction of the experimental training center, so that those retaining talents have better conditions to enhance their practice and innovation ability.
This year, Akesu Vocational College's clothing design and craft major has been declared successful with the help of Zhejiang textile and clothing vocational college, and will welcome the first batch of students in September.
Building training system relying on professional advantages
In the eastern mountainous area of southern Qianxi, Guizhou, the traditional embroidery of Buyi people has been gleaming. However, the environment is so blocked that the local embroidered girls are generally not educated and lack of innovative ability.
In order to assist the implementation of the "splendid plan" in Guizhou, Zhejiang Textile Vocational College has sent professional teams to the local inspection teams in 2018. How can we inherit the tradition and develop it to the market? After returning to Ningbo, Han Chunyu set up the design team of "hand creation and homespun fashion", and guided 3 professional teachers and 9 outstanding students in holidays to start product research and development according to the characteristics of Qianxi's homespun and embroidery. The first phase of the team developed 6 new products.
More than 10 of the professional teachers' team of clothing major has also built up skills upgrading courses for local embroidery ladies, such as patterns and color matching. No new needle method will be taught by hand, and color is difficult to understand. Drawings can be used to explain.
"Precision poverty alleviation is to rebuild the traditional skills with strong professional advantages and high-quality teaching staff." Wang Weiwei, vice president of Fashion Institute, seems to be able to help the local women with the ability to grow and get employed in order to get them out of poverty.
As of 2019, the school has set up 3 training courses on embroidery skills and skills upgrading for Guizhou, Zhenfeng, county and Wang Mo County, and trained 80 embroidered girls. Most of them have been successfully employed at home.
Relying on resources superiority to serve local economy
How to make full use of the advantages of colleges and universities to help the poor areas to make a progress? In addition to education, the help team of the school began to think about how to find a market for products and promote the sustainable development of local industries.
In Northwest China, Professor Zhu Yongzhi drafted the "Park school enterprise" cooperation framework, organized the modern textile technology professional teachers and the Akesu Textile Industrial Park Management Committee, carried out research on more than 50 enterprises in the park, classified the statistics of the products and employment of the enterprises, and the investigation report provided the basis for the labor planning of Akesu textile industry.
The team also led the textile engineering department and the enterprise project team in tackling key problems, breaking through 300 long staple cotton spinning technologies, and providing technical support for the local production of high count yarn with local long staple cotton.
In the southwest, at the end of 2019, more than 20 Guizhou embroidered girls crossed the mountain and sea to come to Zhejiang Textile Vocational College, and further accepted training on fashion creativity, color aesthetics and so on. Schools take this opportunity to extend invitations to all enterprises in Ningbo to provide a stage for Guizhou embroidery.
Local enterprises in Ningbo also made a special trip to Qianxi, Guizhou to investigate and carry out project docking, and converted more than 20 products into local products. In addition, the school also organizes promotional activities for poverty alleviation products, bringing embroidery products to the cultural fair, so that the traditional handicrafts with fashionable flavor will go overseas.
Since 8 years ago, the backbone teachers have been helping counterparts in poverty-stricken areas. Zhejiang Textile Vocational and technical college has always been relying on professional and talent advantages to promote efficient and precise support, and strive to realize the transformation from blood transfusion to hematopoiesis, to show the mission and responsibility of colleges and universities in the new era of poverty alleviation.
