Gome App Online "Store" Channel Provides Online Shopping Guide Service

The media learned that Gome app recently launched the "store" channel to "move" offline stores to online, exploring a new path for local retail. "Online shopping guide" is available for consumers.

Gome said that the "store" channel relies on Gome's existing 2600 offline stores across the country. Each store serves 3-5 kilometers of users through grid operation, and adopts the full chain business model of "real-time online answer + fast delivery of goods + service to the store and home". So far, the channel has linked more than 170000 communities and reached more than 60 million users.

In addition to the "online shopping guide" of "shopping malls" in recent stores, users can also choose their own products through the online shopping channel. After receiving the order, the store will be used as a "front-end warehouse" for distribution, and users will be able to receive goods in a very short time.

According to the data, since the "store" channel was launched in Gome app in early July, the sales revenue generated through the channel has accounted for more than 50% of the overall sales revenue. Gome also said that Gome will continue to put non home appliance products from strategic partner Jingdong to further enhance user activity and stickiness.

On May 28, Gome and JD announced at the same time that Gome issued US $100 million convertible bonds to Jingdong. The initial share conversion price was HK $1.255 per share, which was 37.91% higher than the closing price of Gome retail on May 28 and the average closing price of the five consecutive trading days up to May 27.

At the same time, the two sides indicated that they had reached a strategic cooperation agreement to carry out strategic cooperation on product procurement and sales (including joint procurement, joint marketing and opening Gome's official flagship store on Jingdong platform to enhance product competitiveness and sales scale), logistics services, financial services and other related services.
