The Fourth Generation Leader Of Mantero Launched Recycled Silk Fabric Resilk
Mantero seta, an Italian Textile Group
Recently announced the launch of recycled silk fabric resilk
This idea was put forward by Franco Mantero, the fourth generation leader of the founder family and CEO of the company.
Mantero stressed: "for the resilk project, in an incomplete word, all we use are leftovers from the production process. No batch of products are perfect, especially for natural and delicate materials like silk. In this way, some scarves, neckties and scarves can not be delivered to customers, but they are worth a new life. Thanks to the hard work of the R & D team, we have achieved this goal. " Resilk is a traceable fabric and process made entirely in Italy and certified by GRS (global recycling standard).
Resilk products are ECOTEC with Italian yarn company Marchi & fildi The production steps of the project are exquisite and complex: select raw materials from pure silk fabrics, re spin and dye, weave with different weights and weaving methods, decorate the fabrics with digital printing or screen printing technology, and then transform them into clothing or accessories.
"In recent months under the impact of the epidemic, we have had to reorient every activity and all the ideas: that's what everyone and every business has to face," Mantero said. For me, sustainable development is a lifestyle choice. It is even ahead of economic development. I will continue to make all necessary efforts. The epidemic slowed down many things in the planning, such as business activities, but also accelerated the development of other things, such as the application of technology, which made us try remote office mode for the first time. Finally, everything has to go back to the core of sustainable development. "
Mantero said the epidemic has made everyone, including consumers and businesses, more concerned about the sustainability and transparency of products, especially in the high-end market.
