Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of statistics has released a "semi annual report" on Shenzhen's economy. Qu Jian, vice president of China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute, said in an interview on July 28 that Shenzhen should give full play to the advantages of Shenzhen's industry and manufacturing industry and help the economy out of the trough as soon as possible.

In the face of the test brought by the new epidemic situation and the complex domestic and international environment, Shenzhen's main indicators are continuing to improve. Qu Jian said that from the perspective of total demand, the high growth rate of fixed assets investment played a key role. The total import and export volume was close to the same period in the first half of the year, which played a stabilizing role.

Qu Jian specially mentioned that there were three bright spots in Shenzhen's total supply in the first half of the year: first, due to the obvious increase of online business, the related high-tech industry and it industry took the lead to go out of the bottom; second, the biomedical industry maintained a good momentum; third, the textile industry related to epidemic prevention materials also achieved rapid growth. "These areas have not only played a positive role in turning Shenzhen's economy from negative to positive, but will continue to maintain growth in the second half of the year." Qu Jian said.

Speaking of future development, Qu Jian said that we should do everything possible to give full play to the advantages of Shenzhen's industry and manufacturing industry and link it with domestic consumption demand, so as to help the economy go out of the trough as soon as possible and achieve steady growth.
