"Textile Light" 2020 China Textile Federation Science And Technology Award Evaluation Ends

From September 17 to 20, "textile light" 2020 science and technology award evaluation meeting of China Textile Industry Federation was held in Wuxi.

The meeting was organized by the science and Technology Award Office of China Textile Industry Federation.

Since last year, in accordance with the overall requirements of the state to deepen the reform of the science and technology award system, the science and technology award of the China Textile Industry Federation has added a technical invention award and a special contribution award (mulberry and hemp scholars) on the basis of retaining the science and Technology Progress Award, and adjusted the award level. Among them, there are two kinds of awards: Technological Invention Award and science and technology progress award, with two levels of first prize and second prize. The number of Special Contribution Award (mulberry and hemp scholars) is no more than 4 each year.

The technological invention award is awarded to individuals and units who use scientific and technological knowledge to make inventions and creations of products, processes, materials and systems in textile related science and technology and production activities, and contribute to the promotion of economic and social development and the protection of national security. The science and technology progress award is awarded to individuals and units that have made outstanding contributions to technological research, technological development, technological innovation, popularization and application of advanced scientific and technological achievements, promotion of high-tech industrialization, and completion of major scientific and technological projects and planned projects.

This year, we have received 175 applications for technological invention awards and science and technology progress awards. After the formal review, 168 projects have entered the network review. According to the professional distribution of the applied projects, the network evaluation is divided into 9 professional groups: Textile 1 group, textile 2 group, chemical fiber group, industrial use group, dyeing and finishing group, machinery group, automation and instrument group, standard and testing group, and soft science group. At the same time, the Award Office selected more than 70 experts to conduct preliminary evaluation of the project according to the scope of awards.

This review meeting is to re evaluate the projects that have passed the online evaluation. The award office again selects experts to the meeting to review the online evaluation results, and the results are submitted to the science and Technology Award Evaluation Committee for deliberation and vote. This year's evaluation committee is composed of 23 members, including sun Jinliang, Yu Jianyong, Chen Wenxing, Zhu Meifang and experts from various professional groups. For the candidate project recommended as the first prize, the main completion unit requests to send representatives to the meeting site to reply. In order to ensure fair, fair, transparent and standardized evaluation and facilitate supervision, leaders of textile light science and technology education foundation and media representatives were invited to attend the meeting.

Li Lingshen listened to the on-the-spot defense of the first prize candidate projects, and pointed out in his concluding speech at the evaluation meeting that the level of the evaluation projects this year is very high, which has laid a good foundation for the evaluation of next year's national science and technology award. Some projects have solved the "neck sticking" problem, while others have made up for our shortcomings, which has promoted the progress of science and technology in the industry.

Li Lingshen stressed that the current international situation has put forward higher requirements for the industry's scientific and technological work. The marginal effect of technology introduction and absorption has gradually declined, the learning cost of developing countries has increased, and the "neck sticking" in technology has brought challenges to the industry's scientific and technological innovation. A few days ago, General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the spirit of scientists: the patriotic spirit of cherishing the motherland and serving the people; the innovative spirit of bravely climbing the heights and daring to be the first; the realistic spirit of pursuing truth and rigorous scholarship; the dedication of being indifferent to fame and wealth and concentrating on research; the collaborative spirit of intelligence gathering, unity and cooperation; and the education spirit of being willing to be a ladder for people and rewarding and educating people after learning. This is also a requirement for scientific and technological workers in the industry. In the "fourteenth five year plan", the industry has nine requirements for scientific and technological work, namely "focusing on key points, making up weak points, and strong and weak items". It is hoped that new breakthroughs can be made in scientific and technological innovation of the industry.
