At the same time, Xiqiao Town actively connects with China Textile Engineering Society and Suzhou China Textile Fabric Industry Research Institute. Through the combination of production, teaching and research, it actively applies new technology to improve the odor and sewage treatment of printing and dyeing industry, and promotes the sustainable development of enterprises with green and clean production.

In the advanced development of industrial agglomeration, Xiqiao is actively building south China International Textile City. The project is planned to be capped by the end of 2021. The planned land area of the project is about 160000 square meters. It takes Xiqiao Textile Industry as the core, integrates headquarters economy, trade exhibition, new retail, e-commerce, intelligent manufacturing, modern circulation and other services as one, and builds an intelligent integrated platform for online and offline linkage development of the whole light and textile industry chain. This year, there are 16 new industrial textile production lines in Xiqiao, including 10 melt blown fabric production lines with an annual output of over 80000 tons; 2 spunbonded and Spunlaced non-woven fabrics with an annual output of over 10000 tons; and 4 sanitary napkin production lines.
