Vietnam'S Textile, Clothing And Footwear Export From January To October 2020

（1） In the first 10 months of 2020, Vietnam's textile and garment exports amounted to about US $24.76 billion

According to the Ministry of industry and Commerce of Vietnam, the export value of Vietnam's textile and clothing in the first 10 months of 2020 is about 24.76 billion US dollars, which is 9.3% lower than that of the same period in 2019. It is difficult for Vietnam to reach the target of 42 billion US dollars in 2020. In the future, Vietnam's Ministry of industry and commerce should adopt new measures to change the mode of production and operation, conform to the new normal, expand the mainland market, and actively connect with customers to form a production chain, in line with the commitments of various FTA agreements on origin.

（2） Vietnam shoes industry declines 9.9% in the first 10 months of 2020

According to the Ministry of industry and Commerce of Vietnam, in the first 10 months of 2020, the output of shoes in Vietnam will reach 249 million pairs, up 0.8% compared with the same period last year. The export value is about 13.38 billion US dollars, a decline of 9.9%. Two months after the entry into force of the free trade agreement (evfta) between Vietnam and the European Union (EU), Vietnam's footwear exports increased, driving the development of the industry. This year, Vietnam's export of shoes will reach US $24 billion. The fourth quarter is the shopping season, and the sales of shoes will increase. Vietnam shoe industry should speed up and grasp the opportunity to achieve the target of cost year.
