"China's textile industry has formed the largest and most complete industrial system in the world, and is an important supporting force for the stable operation of the world textile and clothing supply chain." Sun Ruizhe, President of China Textile Industry Federation, pointed out in his work report that by the end of 2020, most of the indicators of China's textile industry had reached or even surpassed the world's advanced level, and the most perfect modern textile manufacturing industry system in the world was established, and the production and manufacturing capacity and international trade scale ranked first in the world for a long time.

According to the report, in 2019, China's total textile fiber processing reached 56 million tons, accounting for more than 50% of the global total fiber processing since 2011, and the chemical fiber production accounted for 71.71% of the global total. In 2019, China's textile and clothing export volume reached 280.7 billion US dollars, 5.4 times that of 2000, accounting for 11.24% of China's total exports of goods and 34% of the world's total exports of textiles and clothing, ranking first in the world.

Gao Yong, Secretary General of the Party committee and Secretary General of the China Textile Industry Federation, said that the coal industry and the textile industry have a natural link. The opening of the China Textile Conference in 2020 in Shanxi Province also stems from the close cooperation between the coal chemical industry and China's chemical fiber industry.

Taking this conference as an opportunity, China Textile Industry Federation takes Shanxi as the key point to promote textile fashion industry during the "14th five year plan" period, and gives strong support in platform construction, technology research and development, and talent training.
