In the online retail sales of physical goods, clothing goods will increase by 5.8% in 2020.

The export market has risen sharply. According to the data, in 2020, China's textile and clothing exports totaled 291.22 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%. The steady release of export competitiveness, especially the return of orders, reflects the "hard power" of the domestic textile supply chain and industrial chain, and also reflects the practical results of the in-depth adjustment and improvement of the development quality of China's textile industry.

Gao Yong said that the achievements of China's textile industry during the 13th Five Year Plan period are commendable. In terms of scale, at present, China's total fiber processing accounts for about 50% of the world's total, chemical fiber production accounts for about 70%, and the total export volume accounts for about one-third; the domestic textile equipment occupies more than 80% of the domestic market. In terms of comprehensive capacity, China's textile industry chain has generally reached the international advanced or leading level in terms of categories, output quality, production efficiency, independent technology and equipment, etc.

Looking forward to the "14th five year plan" period, China's economic development will be improved for a long time, and people's consumption demand for a better life will continue to release, which will promote the continuous upgrading of the domestic demand market and provide the most core development power for the textile industry.
