It was reported on March 11 that the Organizing Committee Office of Dalian Shopping Festival recently held a seminar on the application of digital RMB scene in the construction of Dalian cloud shopping platform. At the meeting, the participants had a special discussion on the construction of Dalian cloud shopping platform and the application of digital RMB scene.

Zhong Xiang, director of the currency and gold and silver Department of Dalian Branch of the people's Bank of China, introduced the application scenarios, support work and pilot test of digital RMB, and hoped that the pilot work of digital RMB and Dalian cloud shopping platform could be jointly promoted.

Yu Weiguo, general manager of Dalian UnionPay commerce, said that the bank merchants and the construction of Dalian cloud shopping platform are looking forward to cooperation with digital RMB. The bank chamber of Commerce will provide support in the use of various scenarios, and will cooperate with the office of the Organizing Committee of Dalian Shopping Festival in terms of social mode and scene construction.

It is understood that in the next step, Dalian cloud shopping platform should strengthen cooperation with financial institutions and third-party institutions, accelerate the application of digital RMB in cloud shopping platform, and promote the cloud shopping platform to further empower commercial enterprises.

In addition, since Shenzhen became the pilot of digital RMB last year, Suzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu and other cities have also experimented with digital RMB. At the two sessions this year, many members of the NPC and CPPCC put forward suggestions on the development of digital RMB, including promoting the application of cross-border payment of digital RMB, carrying out pilot projects in several cities, and so on.
