In a word, the current situation of PTA, the upstream raw material of polyester, is to reduce the production capacity to slow down the situation of overcapacity, and gradually increase the processing costs, while polyester filament takes the attitude of "raw materials rise, I also rise" and slowly increases the price.
Will polyester continue to rise?
From the PTA production reduction of upstream, the price rise of polyester filament seems to have a certain foundation, but whether it can continue to rise or not depends on the actual urgent demand of downstream weaving enterprises.
Recently, some weaving enterprises reported that due to the outbreak of the epidemic situation in Europe and the United States, some brands began to refund orders frequently to "ensure safety", and the raw materials prepared by textile enterprises in order to deliver orders were piled up in the warehouse.
At the same time, due to the "Xinjiang cotton" incident, the popularity of the national tide is rising, and the domestic brands are also rising, and the sales volume is soaring.
In addition, in the middle of March, a lot of grey fabrics purchased by traders at the beginning of the year were also consumed. At that time, traders are likely to have to replenish, which is also an opportunity for weaving enterprises.
