The Portuguese Government Calls For The Establishment Of Innovative Consortia In The Fields Of Textiles, Clothing And Footwear

The Portuguese government has called for the establishment of consortia in the fields of textiles and clothing, footwear and natural resins to find new materials and manufacturing processes, including companies, research centers, universities and non-governmental organizations to participate in the search for production mechanisms with less environmental damage. This is one of the objectives of the European recovery and resilience initiative, which will invest 129 million euros in innovation and production in an ecologically sustainable way, including 71 million euros in textiles and clothing, 41 million euros in footwear and 17.5 million in natural resins.
