Leading the way

"It took only eight months from signing the contract to putting it into production." looking back on the entrepreneurial process, Li Zuhua, deputy general manager of Shunyuan textile company, said that in 2011, the company invested in Youxi, focusing on the solid textile industry foundation here.

In 1987, the first textile and garment enterprise appeared in Youxi County. However, after years of development, Youxi textile and garment industry as a whole is still at the low end of the industrial chain. The joining of large enterprises provides a new development idea for Youxi textile industry.

Seizing high-end is the "golden key" of Shunyuan. "In the market, a large number of low-grade yarns are overstocked, but there are not enough high-end yarns. At the beginning of our establishment, we used advanced equipment and technology to produce high-end yarns and establish ourselves in the market," Li said.

Along the way, the company has successively built a series of projects in Youxi, such as Shunyuan textile, Longyuan textile, Xuyuan textile, Shunyuan dyeing and finishing, and formed a complete industrial chain. In 2020, the production capacity of Shunyuan series projects will exceed 700000 spindles, with a total output value of about 3 billion yuan.

Wu Shaoxiong, deputy director of Youxi County Bureau of industry and information technology, introduced that with the implementation of a number of large and good projects such as Shunyuan textile, Youxi textile products have expanded from leather base cloth to civil yarn and polyamide fiber, with the production scale gradually expanding, the industrial structure continuously optimized, and the degree of agglomeration steadily improved, winning two national cluster honors of "China's famous leather base cloth city" and "China's famous blended yarn city".

With the leader leading, the affiliated supporting enterprises also grow together. In the past, local textile enterprises had to go to Shanghai to buy a small accessory. Today, high quality aprons, cots and other textile accessories can be purchased locally.

"At present, we are focusing on the" two ends "of the three industrial chains of civil yarn, nylon and leather base cloth. We supplement textile accessories and fiber raw materials in the upstream, extend the industrial chain of high-end clothing fabrics, dyeing and finishing in the downstream, and accelerate the overall total expansion and structural optimization," Wu said.

Upstream and downstream linkage

To extend the textile industry chain, dyeing and finishing is an important link. However, for a long time, the dyeing and finishing capacity has not been broken through, which has become a bottleneck problem restricting the development of Youxi textile industry. Wu Shaoxiong told reporters that the upgrading of dyeing and finishing links is very important to enhance the added value of products and improve the efficiency of the whole textile industry chain. "Only by breaking through the bottleneck of dyeing and finishing can we open up a new development situation and push the industry to the level of 100 billion yuan."

Only by taking the initiative to change can we find a way out. Since 2018, Youxi County has started to build dyeing and finishing professional park in Chengnan Park of Youxi Economic Development Zone, attracting 5 dyeing and finishing enterprises to move into the park. Chuangyi textile dyeing and finishing company is one of them. Dong Ruiqi, the person in charge of the company, told reporters that the park has built supporting facilities for cogeneration, which can realize centralized power supply and gas supply and unified treatment of sewage, thus solving the worries of enterprises.

How can foreign leading enterprises and local upstream and downstream enterprises go hand in hand and grow together? In addition to its own business, it also undertakes daily orders from more than 20 upstream small and medium-sized textile enterprises in the county, providing nearly 3000 jobs directly and indirectly.

Last year, affected by the epidemic situation, the textile industry chain and supply chain were impacted. Some small and medium-sized textile enterprises felt the pain due to the sharp decrease of orders, overstock of inventory and shortage of funds. Greer stepped forward to purchase the overstocked raw material grey cloth from small enterprises, which eased the overstocking of inventory and shortage of funds in some enterprises.

This year, Greer's efforts have paid off. With the price of cloth rising, Greer seized the advantage of the price difference of raw materials, completed several times of orders, and realized the bottom rebound.

Upgrading of "intelligent manufacturing"

Zheng bingzeng, the person in charge of the company, told reporters that by adding different types of nano masterbatch in the spinning process, functional products with special properties such as mosquito repellent yarn and heat preservation yarn can be produced to meet the personalized needs of customers.

Today, Xinsen has formed a complete industrial chain of "spinning, texturing, weaving, dyeing and finishing, printing and garment", with an annual output of 240000 tons of differentiated and functional nylon fibers, ranking the seventh in the global nylon spinning industry. The change of manufacturing into "intelligent manufacturing" also injects new momentum into Youxi's world-class nylon base.

Make efforts to transform and upgrade the old industry to create a new world. Last year, the output value of textile industry in Youxi County exceeded 20 billion yuan, ranking the first industry in Youxi County. In the first half of this year, the output value reached 11.9 billion yuan, with a strong development momentum.
