How many years have you worked in the industry? What does this industry look like in your mind?
Sun Huaibin I was a teacher in Tianjin Institute of textile technology in 1985. If I had worked in the industry for less than 40 years since 1985, it would have been less than 40 years! I think this industry can be understood from many aspects, not only from the perspective of economy, but also from the perspective of science and technology, from the perspective of social culture, history, international, domestic, and macro, meso and micro perspectives, so it is a very solid and lively industry. I feel that I am very happy to be able to work in this industry.

What kind of image do you want China's textile industry to establish outside the circle?
Sun Huaibin This is a question of value identification. Outsiders, including some people who don't know much about textile, always think that textile is a labor-intensive and traditional industry. It seems that tradition is backward. I think this view is biased, not really understanding our textile industry. Although China's textile industry has a long history, it has been maintaining a vigorous vitality. Her structural optimization and comprehensive strength have made outstanding contributions to the strength of our country. The key is that she is an eternal industry and an everlasting industry, which is very promising in China. Therefore, we should abandon some old prejudices and have a new understanding of this industry. I hope that people from all walks of life will have a correct and scientific evaluation and understanding of China's textile industry.

What do you want to say to people in the industry?
Sun Huaibin I think we should have a belief in this industry. That is to believe in her, or to regard her as a pillar in our life, to lead our work and career, and to contribute to this industry together.
The second is to be a scientific textile man. Textile is a kind of interdisciplinary science. This scientific system needs us to master and apply. Only in this way can we grasp some laws and look forward to the future.
Third, I think we still need to be an intelligent textile man. Because textile is an industrial system and a relationship of production. That is to say, in this industrial system, we should contact with all aspects, including upstream and downstream, neighbors, and establish harmonious relations. How can we establish relations? This requires our wisdom, which is the premise and ability for us to handle and coordinate various relationships.
Fourth, we should be a confident textile man. Self confidence is to have confidence in the industry.
Finally, I think we should be responsible textile workers. Only with a sense of responsibility can we truly serve the industry well, and give full play to our abilities in all aspects, so as to become an ideal, scientific, intelligent, confident and responsible person, such a complete and perfect textile man! Then China's textile industry will have more hope and future!
