The Export Volume Of Small Categories Of Wedding Suits Rose Against The Trend

In the first quarter of this year, the export value of China's clothing products increased by 5.2% year-on-year, and the growth rate slowed down. However, the export of wedding dress, suit and other wedding social clothing increased against the trend.

Sun Peng, staff member of the International Trade Department of a clothing enterprise in Dalian, Liaoning Province: since this year, the customer's order situation has recovered relatively well, handling about 10 foreign mails every day.

In the production workshop of this clothing enterprise, it is also a busy scene. The person in charge told the reporter that since the first quarter of this year, their export of customized suits has exceeded 550000 pieces, a sharp increase of 78% compared with the same period last year. At present, their export orders have been arranged to September this year.

The wedding dress, as a traditional western dress, has been running in with domestic production and design for many years, which has produced new sparks. Some traditional crafts such as "Chinese style", "cheongsam collar" and "pearl embroidery" have gradually become popular overseas.

The reporter learned in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, where the wedding dress industry is gathering. With the increase of wedding ceremonies in various countries, many export enterprises have arranged their orders to August and September this year.

Zheng Runtao, deputy director of Chaozhou Customs: in the first quarter of this year, the export of Chaozhou wedding dress was 180 million yuan, with a year-on-year growth of more than 116%.

At the same time, the export of raw materials such as wedding materials is under increasing pressure.

Caihaoli, the director of the wedding dress enterprise, told the reporter that recently, the international crude oil price continued to rise, and the cost of chemical fiber fabrics also rose. Their raw material costs have risen by 10% this year.

Cai Haoli, executive director of a wedding dress enterprise in Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province: there are two aspects of the rise in the cost of wedding dress this year, one is the rise of raw materials and the other is the rise of labor cost.

Experts told reporters that since this year, with the resumption of production in Southeast Asia, the international competition in the clothing production industry is becoming increasingly fierce. In the first two months of this year, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports amounted to $5.6 billion, up 48% year on year. At present, the rapid growth of wedding and social clothing such as wedding dress and suit is mainly due to the consumption of the stock which was restrained by the epidemic situation in the first two years, but the increase in the future is not optimistic. In order to achieve further growth in the challenges, we need to improve the comprehensive competitiveness in technology, management, environmental protection and other aspects.
