China Wool Textile Industry Association: China'S Wool Textile Export Remained Stable In The First Quarter

China Wool Textile Industry Association disclosed on the 22nd that with the improvement of global wool textile demand and consumption, the total export volume of China's wool textile raw materials and products from January to March 2022 was the same as that of the same period of the previous year, totaling US $2.19 billion.

According to reports, the global wool textile industry chain has recovered, and wool textile production in countries and regions mainly producing downstream wool products, including the European Union, India, Japan and ASEAN, as well as countries and regions along the belt and road initiative, has restored wool intermediate products to a good export situation. It is worth mentioning that the export of wool fabrics totaled 13.35 million meters from January to March, with a year-on-year growth rate of 88.9%.

In addition, the demand for wool textile products in China is growing rapidly. Since last year, some traditional wool textile export destinations have been shrinking, while the demand for wool textile products in emerging markets and regions is growing. From January to March 2022, the total exports of countries and regions along the belt and road accounted for 49.3% in the first quarter, an increase of 4 percentage points over the same period last year.

China Wool Textile Industry Association said that although the international environment is complex and severe, the world economy is still recovering and there is still a large demand for China's wool textile exports. The industrial chain of China's wool textile industry is complete, the export enterprises have strong ability to adapt to external changes, and the growth of wool textile import and export is expected to continue to be good.
