According to a report released by the National Bureau of statistics on October 10, the state has strengthened cross regional accurate docking for rural labor force, effectively promoted the employment of surplus labor force, and encouraged local employment and entrepreneurship by relying on county economy and rural industrial development. From 2012 to 2021, the total number of migrant workers increased from 262.61 million to 292.51 million.
The National Bureau of statistics pointed out in the series of reports on the achievements of economic and social development since the 18th CPC National Congress that population mobility is an important feature of China's population and social development. Since 2012, with the continuous advancement of urbanization, China's population flow has become increasingly active, which has injected a strong impetus into the stable and healthy development of the economy and society. In 2020, China's population with household separation will reach 492.76 million, accounting for 34.9% of the national population. Among them, the floating population will reach 375.82 million, accounting for 26.6% of the national population. Compared with 2010, the number of separated households increased by 231.38 million, an increase of 88.5%, and the floating population increased by 154.39 million, an increase of 69.7%. In terms of population flow, the population continued to gather in coastal areas, along the river areas and inland urban areas. The population in the eastern region continued to increase, and the proportion of population increased by 2.1 percentage points compared with 2010. The population concentration of the major urban agglomerations has increased. The population of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Bay Area Urban Agglomeration, Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration and Chengdu Chongqing urban agglomeration has increased rapidly by 35.0%, 12.0% and 7.3% respectively. With the adjustment and optimization of China's economic structure and the accelerated growth of new driving force of development, the tertiary industry has become the main force to drive economic growth and absorb employment. According to the data, in 2021, the number of employed people in the first, second and third industries in China will be 170.72 million, 217.12 million and 358.68 million respectively, accounting for 22.9%, 29.1% and 48.0% respectively; The proportion of primary industry and secondary industry decreased by 10.6% and 1.3% respectively in 2012, while that of tertiary industry increased by 11.9%. The coordination between the employment structure and the output value structure of the three industries has been significantly improved.
The scale of China's economy has been leaping to a new level, high-quality development has been continuously promoted, the construction of new development pattern has been accelerated, and new employment growth points have been emerging, which has laid a solid foundation for the stability and expansion of employment. Affected by the deepening of the aging population and the gradual decline of the working age population, the total number of employed people reached a peak of 763.49 million in 2014, and then began to decrease. However, with the acceleration of urbanization, a large number of rural labor force transferred to cities and towns, and the number of urban employees maintained a growth trend. In 2013, the proportion of urban employees exceeded that of rural areas for the first time, reaching 50.5%. In 2021, the total number of urban employees will reach 467.73 million, an increase of 94.86 million over 2012, with an average annual growth of 10.54 million; The proportion of urban employment further increased to 62.7%, 13.8 percentage points higher than that in 2012, with an average annual increase of 1.5 percentage points.
According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, with the continuous growth of China's economy, the improvement of the adjustment mechanism of the minimum wage standard, and the optimization of the income distribution structure, the wage level of workers has increased steadily, and the sense of gain and satisfaction has been significantly enhanced. In 2021, the average wage of Urban Non private sector employees will reach 106837 yuan, 1.28 times higher than that in 2012, with an average annual growth of 9.6%; After deducting the price factor, it is 0.91 times higher than that in 2012, with an average annual real growth of 7.4%. Sun Ruizhe, President of China Textile Industry Federation, recently pointed out that employment is the biggest livelihood when talking about the achievements of the textile industry in the past decade. The textile and garment industry chain is long and highly related, and the proportion of small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry reaches 99.8%. Diversified ecology and low entry threshold endow the industry with huge employment capacity and innovation and entrepreneurship space. The industry has promoted the employment of more than 20 million people in the whole society. The development of the industry directly benefits "agriculture, rural areas and farmers", which not only promotes the production of natural fiber, but also provides difficult, suitable and promising jobs for rural migrant workers. The development of the industry makes the process of common prosperity visible, tangible and real.
