　　 In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and keep an eye on the development trend of the industry, China Industrial Textile Industry Association, in conjunction with Textile and Garment Weekly, has launched a special column entitled "2023 Textile Production Outlook". This column will comprehensively appreciate the innovative development of 2022 industry and jointly explore the development plan of 2023 industry through the messages from leaders of China Textile Industry Federation and China Industrial Textile Industry Association, as well as the exclusive interviews with presidents of branches under China Industrial Textile Industry Association. 　　 What impressed you in the report of the 20th CPC National Congress? What effect will it have on the practice of your branch?

　　 Wang Xuguang: The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is encouraging, and many words are impressive, such as: "Chinese style modernization", "high-quality development is the primary task of building a socialist modern power", "accelerating the construction of a new development pattern with domestic circulation as the main body and domestic and international double circulation promoting each other".

　　 The words that have a great impact on the special textile industry include: "Achieving the goal of building the military for one hundred years and accelerating the building of the people's army into a world-class army is a strategic requirement for building a socialist modern country in an all-round way", "implementing major projects in defense technology and weapons equipment", "improving the national security system" and "improving the national emergency management system" "We will improve the public security system, and improve the ability to prevent, mitigate, and provide disaster relief, as well as the ability to handle emergencies.".

　　 The special textile industry is an advanced representative of new textile materials, new technologies and new applications. These words are very close and distinct to the special textile industry, pointing out the direction for the future development of the industry and ushering in the spring of industry development.

　　 What are the opportunities in the current industry? How should the industry and enterprises seize these opportunities and practice them?

　　 Wang Xuguang: Opportunities mainly come from three aspects:

　　 "Accelerating the building of the people's army into a world-class army" is a great opportunity for the development of national defense and military industry. Individual protection, special protection, nuclear, biological and chemical protection related to the textile industry, as well as the localization of materials, the special materials for equipment will develop rapidly.

　　 "High quality development" and "double cycle strategy" will certainly promote the iterative upgrading of the entire industry, safety and consumption fields, and will certainly pull the development of new textile materials. For example, domestic substitution, self control, personal safety protection, emergency rescue, sports and outdoor sports, etc., will put forward higher requirements for the performance of textile materials.

　　 The Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China raised the "need to improve the national security system" to a very high level, especially the "improvement of the national emergency management system". The construction of the rescue force system of "full disaster and large emergency" is bound to form a hot spot, and the protection materials and equipment for emergency rescue have a broad prospect; Also, the construction of the public health system, especially the prevention of epidemics, will promote the rapid development of the health emergency and biological protection markets.

　　 As an enterprise, it must have a high degree of sensitivity, do a good job in forecasting, layout in advance, seize the opportunity and welcome the spring.

　　 What are the development characteristics of special textile industry in 2022? What did the branch do? What achievements have been made?

　　 Wang Xuguang: In the past, the special textile industry belonged to a subdivided industry. With the intensification of trade friction and contraction of external demand, more and more enterprises entered this subdivided track. The competition mode has changed from incremental competition to stock game, and internal, low price and cross-border competition have become the norm.

　　 In this complex situation, the branch called on industrial enterprises to cooperate with each other internally to form an ecosystem, and at the same time, to strengthen innovation and research and promote the transformation to high-level manufacturing.

　　 In 2022, in the face of the epidemic situation and various uncertainties, the member units of the Special Textile Branch carried forward the spirit of initiative and forge ahead, and made contributions to the development of major weapons, the upgrading and iteration of various industries, and the improvement of personnel protection ability.

　　 Looking forward to 2023, what is the development direction of this field? What kind of planning will the branch make?

　　 Wang Xuguang: In the future, hot spots will soon be formed in the following aspects. First, with the acceleration of the modernization of the military, there will be a large rigid demand for individual protection, special protection and military uniforms; Second, the construction of the national "full disaster and emergency" rescue force system has been fully launched, and personal protective equipment such as fire protection, chemical protection and water rescue will usher in great development; With the release of national and industrial compulsory personal protective clothing standards, personal safety protection will develop rapidly.

　　 The above mentioned markets used to be traditional markets as well as niche and unpopular markets. However, after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the new development pattern, these markets will glow with new vitality. New textile technologies and materials will be widely used and will develop into a new and thriving market.

　　 In terms of industry planning, the Special Textile Branch of the Association will focus on the following aspects in 2023, including:

　　 First, give full play to the role of the Association as a platform, create more meetings, scenes and opportunities, promote communication and exchange between "demanders and enterprises, enterprises and enterprises", break information barriers, create a win-win situation, and promote the economic and efficient development of the industry.
