Recently, the international standard "Specification for the Quality Identification of Textile Combed Cashmere", which was developed under the leadership of Inner Mongolia Erdos Group, was officially released and implemented by the International Organization for Standardization. It not only led the standardization and industrial technological progress of Chinese cashmere, but also won the international language right for Chinese cashmere.

The cashmere output of Ordos City accounts for 52% of Inner Mongolia, 22% of the country and 13% of the world. Recently, the international standard ISO 5162:2023 Specification for the Quality Identification of Combed Cashmere for Textiles, which is led by Ordos Group, was officially issued and implemented by the ISO International Organization for Standardization.

Zhu Hong, secretary-general of cashmere products sub technical committee of National Technical Committee for Textile Standardization, said that the release and implementation of this standard unified the quality specifications of the world's cashmere combing, unified the requirements of cashmere grading standards, and provided important standard support for the global cashmere quality appraisal trade and production. Cashmere, as a characteristic high-quality product in China, has no unified international standard to mark its quality. At the same time, it is not conducive to guiding the improvement of cashmere breeding environment and quality, and protecting rare cashmere resources. Combined with the practical experience accumulated in the production of cashmere fibers and products over the years and a large number of test data, As well as its advantages in the field of standard development, after five years of development, Ordos Group has formed another landmark international standard in the international cashmere industry, which fully demonstrates the technical strength and standard preparation and revision level of Ordos Group in the national and global cashmere textile industry. Up to now, Ordos Group has formulated 4 international standards and 13 national standards, 22 industry standards.

The release and implementation of this standard provide an important reference basis and strong technical support for protecting China's cashmere advantageous resources and promoting their rational utilization, improving the core competitiveness of China's cashmere industry in the global cashmere market, maintaining the good image of cashmere and its products as high-quality fibers, and promoting and promoting the balanced development of the global cashmere industry.
